About The ProjectDerived from casual conversation between Springfield Sign and Phelps County bank, it was mentioned that it would be nice if the bank had a more culturally appropriate sign for its downtown Rolla, MO location. The building, in which the bank resides, is located in the historic Edwin Long Hotel building on Route 66. This building and area, rich in history and tradition, would be more appropriately represented with a time honoring sign that would reflect and enhance the already beautiful exterior of the building. Through conversation it was brought up that at one time a clock had adorned the exterior building façade and that a new historical type clock sign would capture the essence of that which was being sought for this project. The idea was now genuinely born. Springfield Sign took on the challenge of designing a clock sign that would bring to life the visions and ideas that had been discussed in multiple conversations. Through planning and design, Springfield Sign created a beautiful corner building clock sign, with a unique weathered look as if the sign had always been a part of this classic historic building. From casual conversation to reality, this project was, and is, truly a timeless classic. From casual conversation to reality, this project was, and is, truly a timeless classic. |
