SUMMARY As a Mechanical Graphic Designer you will develop signage drawings from conceptual art to production detail designs. This will include creating original art packages as well as working within brand standards defined by clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Follow various corporate signage requirements to successfully produce art packages to standards • Interface with Sales, Production and Engineering teams on a regular basis • Read and interpret permitting, field survey data and architectural elevations/drawings. • Identify deviations in job scope and notify appropriate parties • Assure that design continuity is maintained across multiple projects within a brand • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under general direction of supervisor • Accurately label and keep project files organized • Meet and exceed project deadlines REQUIREMENTS • 4 years experience as a Designer in a manufacturing or production environment • Knowledge of effective use of typography, color and visual space • Regular, predictable and reliable attendance • Strong eye for detail • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA) • Ability to work with computers and software systems PREFERRED • Prior experience in signage, print production or manufacturing environment • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite and CorelDraw • AutoCAD and 3D software knowledge (Revvit, Fusion 360, SketchUp, Inventor, Rhino, etc) |
